Sometimes I wonder: What is the spiritual cause behind nations/countries imploding and people seeking refuge far from their homes? There are so many refugees, so many people who’ve had their lives turned upside down and put on hold, whether through natural disaster, collapsed economy, war, and/or violence. If U.S. Americans had to seek refuge, where would we go? It’s not like it couldn’t happen. 

I believe a time will come when in greater understanding we shall have no boundaries anymore. We shall call the earth our country; and we shall, by a process of justice and international assembly, distribute unselfishly the goods of the world according to the needs of the people.

What if all the upheavals are God’s way or the Universe’s way of making us stop having all these boundaries and separations? Sometimes we (people of different lands and skin colors) carry on as if we’re different species! Some people argue that if more resources were used on refugees (as if they’re no longer people with needs and wants), then there wouldn’t be anything left for locals. I think the “greater understanding” Yoganandaji speaks of . . . is that in spiritual truth, there is no limitation . . . so a limitation of resources is false. We just don’t know how to bring that unlimitedness into realization yet, but perhaps we could if that’s what we focused on.
